Ayabe Onsen (natural hot spring baths)

Nestled amid the natural splendor of Ayabe Kanbayashi, Ayabe Onsen Nio-no-Yu is a natural hot spring with one of the best water compositions in the prefecture, rich in hot spring minerals and marvelously effective. Nio-no-Yu features a large indoor hot spring bath, a medicinal bath with numerous herbal ingredients, an open-air bath, and a sauna. Guests can enjoy the genuine taste of Japanese country cuisine at the restaurant in the Nio-kan accommodation facility. The adjacent Nio Park is a family-friendly overnight-style leisure spot, with a putter golf course, a ground golf course, and a tennis court.

Access[By bus] From JR Ayabe Station, Aya Bus Kanbayashi or Omi Ichinose Line, get off at Ayabe Onsen-mae (a short distance from the bus stop).
[By car] From Kyoto, turn right at Route 27 Yamaga intersection and proceed north. Turn left in front of Aya Bus Shimoichiba bus stop and go north.
